Yes it does, in the sense that lavplay doesn't crash. Instead it gives
these errors:
++: Corrupt JPEG data: premature end of data segment
++: Corrupt JPEG data: found marker 0xd9 instead of RST4
++: Corrupt JPEG data: 74 extraneous bytes before marker 0xd0
++: Corrupt JPEG data: 31 extraneous bytes before marker 0xd0
etc...
However I still haven't figured out why SDL displays no pictures
for me so I can't use -p S.

No, still crashes with -p H.

Ah yes, the cursor _keys_ work. Yet another obvious trick I missed :-(
I've been using the "Frame Forward/Reverse" buttons and they skip between
four and six frames according to how they feel. If the keys can do a
single frame why can't the buttons?
