Lavrec has been working fine for months but lately every time I try to
record something it gives up, saying:
...lots of this...
INFO: [lavrec] CB=02540096 ND=012864 BL=001 NB=104
INFO: [lavrec] CB=02545376 ND=014048 BL=001 NB=105
**ERROR: [lavrec] Error reading audio: Audio task died. Reason:
Error Audio ring buffer overflow

Lost frames : 000
A/V sync ins/del: 000/000
Audio errors : 000
++ WARN: [lavrec] We're not stopped yet, use lavrec_stop() first!
If I use -a 0 it records fine (no sound obviously).
Now, the only thing I recall changing around the time this started is
my SDL libraries. I since tried reinstalling them but no improvement.
Does lavrec 1.6.1 depend on SDL for recording sound or is it a red
herring? Any ideas for what else might cause this?
I looked through audiolib.c and there's a bit that says "Uncomment this
and run testrec if you're getting audio capture problems..." so I did.
testrec fails saying:
Error: Error initializing Audio
Error: audio sample size not 8 or 16
even though I passed -a 16 and it prints it out correctly! There's a bug
there somwhere. lavrec prints the INFO though. It means nothing to me
but I can post more of it if it will help.
I can record TV sound with audacity so the sound system is fine.
