Hallo

I have a strange effect, using when I don't use yuvdenoise, I get smaler
files than when I use yuvdenoise -f. Using only yuvdenoise makes smaler
file than without the usage of yuvdenoise.
The source (Digital Sat) is recorded by the BUZ. And looks rather good.

The command I use lookes like that:
lav2yuv | yuvscaler -I ACTIVE_700x556+10+0 | \
...
or yuvdenoise | \
or yuvdenoise -f | \
mpeg2enc -f 8 -4 1 -2 1 -q 5 -P -N 1.0 -M 2 -E -10 -D 10 -o file.m2v

The thing is that without using yuvdenoise -f the output is always
smaler.
Here some numbes:
type: size:
no yuvdenoise 68683541
yuvdenoise 68602294
yuvdenoise -f 72855907
no yuvdenose and mpeg2enc -f 8 only 113843990
yuvdenoise -f and mpeg2enc -f8 only 92892762
no yuvdenoise and mpeg2enc -f8 -E -10 63936409
no yuvdenoise and mpeg2enc -f8 -D 10 114424189

Has someone a ideas why it could be that way ?
Maybe the intra DC precision option ?

auf hoffentlich bald,

Berni the Chaos of Woodquarter
