I get the errors from

It is safe to rpm --force this ?

I'll answer this myself. It is not necessary to --force this as the libs are part of a gstreamer plugin (that I don't even know what is at the moment), so I removed the gstreamer-blah plugin and everything installed ok.

What's more, yes, now it works!!!. I built the dvd without problems.

It is amazing what a little difference in the third digit of the version number can make. I've noticed another difference between 1.6.1 and 1.6.2 in mplex. 1.6.2 does not split output files by default and creates instead a big one (not bad for me).
