Hi all, I'm trying to rip a dvd to svcd, adding my own subtitles in the process.
Basically i'm following the notes at: http://dominia.org/djao/dvdsub.ver3-5.html I have sucessfully produced a desired avi with mplayer, now i want it to convert to svcd format with lav2yuv | yuvscaler | mpeg2enc pipe. I noticed that after the first stage, lav2yuv, about 8.6 seconds of video are blank. Mplayer shows that frame 257 is black, while 260th frame is video as it should be. I tried differnet combinations of -f 0 -o 0 flags that might affect this, without success. Any idea why is this happening? I really need this fixed. I found out that if i generate a series of png images with mplayer -vo png and then use png2yuv, i don't get this problem. So i'd say it's a lav2yuv bug.
