Hello all,
I want to inform you, that I am currently developing a GUI for
DVD-authoring based on your MJPEG-tools. It will combine all steps
in one Java-program (under GPL, of course).
If you are interested in distributing it together with your tools,
please send me an Email (please add the word "nospam" to the subject-line).
At the moment, half of the work is done, and I hope to present
a first version in March.
Here a short extract of the preliminary README:
Purpose
=======
DVDMaster is a Java program, that combines all steps of DVD mastering under one
GUI.
Starting with a set of records (AVI-files captured from a video source) it
allows graphical editing (using 'lavplay' from MJPEG-tools),
title generation (combining a set of "clips" with drag-&-drop, which generates
an 'eli'-file),
title encoding (using MJPEG-tools), creation of a DVD menu (using 'vamps') and
authoring (using 'dvdauthor') and at last DVD burning ('growisofs')
Requirements
============
- DVDMaster.jar (from this package)
- Java runtime library (>= 1.3)
- MJPEG-tools (version 1.6.2 used for development)
- vamps (0.95)
- dvdauthor (0.6.10)
- growisofs
General Usage
=============
1. DVDMaster must be started with a 'working directory', which must contain at
least
a set of video recordings (AVI-files). Additionally, it can contain some
'eli'-files,
which describe titles.
2. After start, the user should mark some 'clips' in the titles, which shall be
cutted out for titles (basically 'eli'-files)
3. The user builds the 'titles' (DVD vocabular) as sets of clips (drag & drop)
4. The titles are encoded to MPEG (this may take a long time...)
5. The DVD menu shall be generated, starting from a user supplied JPEG-image.
6. Authoring the DVD
7. Burning
