y4mscaler will do that automagically I believe.
I made a doomed attempt to compile y4mscaler in Mac OS X 10.3.8. (I have compiled mjpegtools via Fink previously. Fink didn't know about y4mscaler).
Are there instructions how to compile y4mscaler for the Mac or is there a Mac OS X binary?
