I am trying to get my Pinnacle DC10+ card working for both capture and
output on a new SUSE 10.0 install. I am a newbie to Linux, though I have a
good deal of experience in the Windows/PC world. I understand
interrupts, ports and other hardware concepts, but I am unfamiliar with the
Linux configuration protocols/toolsets that I appear to need to get this
hardware locked in.
Is anyone using this board under this, or a recent SUSE distro, and can you
provide a step-by-step guide to getting this board to work with the mjpeg tools
(or w/ Cinelerra, xawtv, or similar packages??)
SUSE's yAST interface shows the card to have been 'modprobed' (I've also
run it on a console with no error posts) and it appears to be
available, but the card/driver doesn't show up as an option in any of the GUI
capture modules of the video packages I've installed to date (Cinelerra, kdetv,
Broadcast2000, et al). When I try to run lavrec, I get a single line
of capture info, and then the machine locks up--requiring a reboot to
continue.
Any help, or directions to same, would be greatly appreciated.
