You need to specify the correct chroma subsampling in lav2yuv:
-C chroma
Set output chroma (default: '420jpeg'). Currently,
'420jpeg', '420mpeg2', '420paldv', '422' are available.
Add '-C 420mpeg2' to your lav2yuv command :-)
