That number of A/V sync is very large.

I have heard of problems when you have a sound demon running. The thing 
is that your sound card has with the sound demon typically the /dev/dsp 
open for writing, from the sound demon. If you sound card does not 
support multiple playback/recording, you need to stop the application 
using that device.

If you don't need the sound demon turn it of or use a 2nd soundcard.
(You also need a 2nd soundcard if you have more than one zoran cards)

Which sound card do you use ?
