I guess the signal is valid: both the satellite receiver and the
videocamera still work perfectly, I shouldn't say they both got damaged
suddenly yesterday.

I have no other computer.

I have no other video capture card.

A scope? I guess you mean those device that display a signal on a small
green monitor. No, I definitely have no such device. Maybe a friend of
mine have one, but I'm still sure the signal is okay, and the selected
input is the right one.

I did it right now, here are the results (modprobe and dmesg):

# modprobe videocodec

# modprobe zr36050

# modprove zr36016

I'll take a look at that. A few month ago I had my mobo changed, and the
guys at the computer shop installed it in such a way that I found
difficult to put a sound card I have into a PCI slot. There are chances
the DC30+ was put in without enough care for this reason, and something
could have been damaged. Yet, it's strange such damages became evident
after such a long time.

You are a software developer, I'm just I (not very clever) user, so I
don't need to video capture card. Clearly, if my DC30+ is damaged, I
will buy another one, if I find it.

Best regards, and many thanks.
