Ron does some great work. I used to live in SD before I moved up to the
Seattle area. I had him change my clutch and distributor while I was there.
I see him post on the Vortex sometimes, he full of info, seems to know
almost everything about VW/Audi, esp. A1/A2.

I just got my timing belt changed this morning at VW Specialties
in Huntington Beach, the shop owned by Ron Wood. I know he
has an excellent reputation, but since it's the first time I've been
there, I just want to add to it and recommend him to anyone in
the southern CA area. I drove there from San Diego. The
dealerships in SD wanted something like $365 to do just the
timing belt, and Tom's Master Mechanics (for those of you down
here) wanted $295. Ron replaced the timing belt, tensioner, all
v-belts and the plastic timing belt cover for $182 out the door,
and in less than 2 hours! Great job. Again, if anyone in So. CA
needs work done I'd highly recommend him.
