Yeah, Wagonsport is a joke. Almost got into a fight with Mark and his boyz when
Neville and I tried to get his 86 GTi out of the shop. Mark didn't want to let
Neville get his car back. Long story short the cops came and Neville proved he
was legally part owner of the shop and showed the papers for the car and got the
car out, which is now sitting in Rockville, albeit minus the 2.o liter 16v
engine that he had put in there. That engine is now humming along nicely in my
'87 GTI 2.0 with 1.8 liter head setup. Neville knows his shit and it was a sad
day when we were in a stand off at Wagonsport, with a breaker bar ready should
it be necessary...

Well I haven't heard from him in a while, but I hope his bacteria proves to be a
bonanza...

I'm from Falls Church, and I beleive Matt Yip is still in Annandale(?).
Denis and Pat are at UMD, and there are plenty others of us around, too. As
far as people to go to shows with, you can e-mail me privately for more info,
as I don't want to spam the list. I'm sure everyone on the west coast really
doesn't care that much.

On another note: Scott, I would avoid Wagensport. Mark is less than
reputable in the business. Just ask Pat. Wagensport went south as soon as
Neville left. For those of you who don't know Neville, he is a 16V guru, on
the same order that Francis(MotorTeknik) is with G60s. Neville left
Wagensport because of Mark, and because a friend in South Africa discovered a
new kind of bacteria. The bacteria "eats" oil. He became the US
distributor. It's kind of like kitty litter, but you don't have to sweep
this stuff up because it dissolves along with the oil that you spread it on.
Basically, you sprinkle it on the oil and walk away. Come back 5 minutes
later, and there is nothing there, not even a stain. I got a
demonstration...too cool. Hasn't hit the market yet, though, as all of the
oil companies(Mobil, Shell, Exxon, etc.) are fighting over the rights to sell
it.
