Actually these rims are only 2 piece BBS's, They look exactly like the
BBS RS's? Which are truly 3 piece rims. I lost the center cap to mine from
my 92 16V, actually went to the dealer and was able to purchase a
replacement, it was outrageously expensive ($70+), Then I lost 2 more a
week after I put that one on :-(. So a knowledgeable dealer should be
able to get you a part number, hopefully there are still some floating
around. If not I have 2 used one's I don't use anymore :-). Good Luck!
Anyways, While picking up some new dash bulbs, I asked the parts guy at
the stealer if they could get new center caps. He produced a sheet
showing all the different wheels offered on 92 "golfs" as he called
them. The wheels I have are the 16V 3 piece BBS 15 x 6.5 ones with all
the little studs around the outer lip.
His piece of paper showed a wheel that looked like mine, but the only
center cap piece it showed was the very center octagonal shaped piece
(that probably said BBS), the fuck that stole mine took all 3 pieces of
the center cap. The center octagonal piece, the plastic piece that the
octagonal "BBS" piece fits into and the outer metal (painted to match)
trim piece.
So I dont think the stealer is gonna be able to get me new center
caps. He gave me the typical dumbass look and said "uh....maybe they were
a dealer added option" I know they're a factory wheel, but I wasnt gonna
argue.
Will I be better off going to a BBS dealer like the Tire Rack?, can I
contact BBS directly? am I just screwed?
Also, is there a style these rims go by? RS RT RW or something? if
anyone needs pics, let me know, I can go out into the lot here at work and
snap whatever you need.
Thanks
Matt

P.S. Sorry for all the F-bombs, but I hate fuckers who steal shit just
because. I serioulsy doubt whoever stole them is going to actually use them.
