For those of you who have done the A3 ABA short block swap (into an A2 with
the non-crossflow head), I've got a quick question. What's the "best"
distributor setup? I have three distributors at my disposal: one from an
old '80 Rabbit, one from an A3 2.0L, and one from my 1.8L RD (currently in
use).

I've ordered the adapter ring from Velocity (only $15) and have pressed the
A3 dist. gear from the shaft. I was planning to install the A3 gear on the
RD distributor, but would like to hear what others have done before I
proceed. Can I use the trigger wheel from the '80 distributor and swap it
with the single window A3 wheel? In other words, is the '80 trigger wheel a
4-window design? I'd really like to leave my RD distributor alone if I
can--it was replaced a year ago and was not cheap.

TIA
