I have an Optima (rebadged as an Interstate) and it rocks. I left my car out in the cold for two days during our recent NE snow incident. When I went to start it up.. no problem. Started the first time. I have also made my own 'Massive Overkill Wiring' system which might also be helping. The only time I had a problem was when my Clifford alarm went haywire and started draining the battery overnight (damn installers!). I fixed the alarm problem and Interstate gave me a replacement battery and eveything has been great since.

I don't know if that's true. While I rarely, if ever, use Consumer Reports as a guide for my purchases (the editors and I don't inhabit the same universe), in the tests I've seen, the Die Hard is always rated above the Interstate.
