Not 16V, but maybe someone knows. My Rallye has oil leak from synchro, from synchro casing which attached to gearbox. But the leak in somewhere between tranny casing and synchro casing. When I take a light and look into to gap between these casings, I see shiny metalic pipe or axle between em, about 1cm diameter. That shiny pipe is not fully reaching to the synchro casing. And there is the leak. It leaks only when driving. Anyone knows whats the pipe is for? (Synchro unit has its own oiling) Whats involved to fix that? Thanks in advance, Nils 89 Rallye 86 Golf GTI 16V
