I dunno if the 9.4 brakes vs. the 10.1's are just mushier, but by '91 GLI
has a MUCH firmer brake pedal than my '88 GTI did.  It probably has half to
1/3 the pedal travel.  The GTI's wasn't bad, but there was a lot more
travel in the pedal.  It's definately possible to get the A2 system to work
pretty damned well. :)
