Actually I talked to JE about that. The newest forged pistons don't have the expansion problems that older ones do. They don't even have the common dieseling noise that earlier forged pistons made when they were cold. Needless to say I am going with JE pistons that are costing around $400 plus $100 or so for rings. Potterman will sell you .020 factory oversize pistons for $450 INCLUDING rings. Hope that helps!

And yes I still have my pistons. If you are interested let me know... Later!

You don't need the "high performance" autotech or JE pistons unless you're
going to do forced induction or something like that (turbo, supercharger,
nitrous.). Forged pistons are a bad idea anyways- they have looser
tolerances because they expand more than cast pistons, and your car will
burn a little extra oil when warming up. Not a whole lot, though.

You also might try techtonics.. they sell stock oversize pistons. If your
car is a 1.8, you could also get a set of used stock 2.0 16v pistons.
Then you would end up with a 1.9L.

I don't know if he still has them, but ratlow had some 2.0 pistons....
