I know this is a bit OT, but it does have a 16V in it, so....
There is a black, '90 Passat GL FS down the road from me. Has
138K. I stopped to look at it about a week ago. Body seems in good
condition, almost no surface rust (one small spot near DS rear
taillight). Didn't look underneath. Interior is in good shape. Has
power package. Sign on window claims A/C works. Recent NYS inspection,
so it has to be in reasonable running condition.
Would need new rubber and probably exhaust from what I could see.
Sign on the window says $3800 OBO. Hasn't moved in over a week, so
I'm guessing the owner is willing to deal.
If anyone is seriously interested, I'm willing to get the phone #
and take a closer look. Drop me a line.
