I don't wish to receive flames for saying this, but cutting is not necessarily a bad thing. Being in a market where tuning parts are rare, the only other option was a new set of Jamex springs that lower the car a massive 60mm. I wasn't after the lowering; I wanted more stiffness. I removed exactly one coil from each spring which gave an even lowering of just over 2cm (perfect IMHO). More importantly, the added stiffness was surprising. It's a different car to drive now. Yes it gives a very harsh ride but the reduced roll is noticeable, giving better control in corners. Yes I need better dampers to keep up with the springs, but until then I'm better off lowered.
