Guys,
So my car was broken into, the alpine CD player was stolen, dash cracked
on the left side of the radio, door damaged (badly) by pry-in past those
armor door guards, heater/ac controls busted as well as that trim piece
around the whole instrument panel, radio, HVAC controls, etc. So, I need:
HVAC controls (face plate and actual control unit)
Trim piece around instruments/radio/hvac/window
Black door and a new door handle.
If anyone has this stuff lying around, send it my way. :) I think I can
fix the dash pretty well. The tear in the vinyl and little crack is only
about 1-1.5 inches long, so I think a vinyl repair kit and some epoxy on
that fiberboard should take care of it really well. The insurance company
sent me a check for $50 for radio installation, a new alpine head unit, AND
a check for $1837.37 for repairs. That's something like $2200 altogether.
No deductable. :) I LOVE state farm insurance. I figure I can fix it all
for a couple hundred bucks if the door doesn't need to be painted.
