No, the AKTIV speakers are the weak link too, they are absolute junk. 15 year old tech, combined with PAPER cones. ACK. If anyone is interested, I have a whole Alpine speaker set for the front 4 speakers on an A2 w/AKTIV. They were in my GL and are like new. I ran a CDM-7854 Alpine Deck, with (2) 3.5's in the dash, and (2) 5.25's in the doors, and (2) 3-way 6X9's in the deck. I cut the rear AKTIV speakers apart and took the armrest wall out of the back seat for more air to the subs. I had (2)99 Kicker Comp 10's pushed by a Punch 120 bridged at 210watts. It sounded awesome. If anyone wants the front 3.5's and 5.35's lemme know. I need (4) 4x6M's for my 931, I would trade for good speakers. Thanks.
