Here goes... My 89 Jetta GTX has an AKTIV system but it does not say AKTIV, the car has all 3 connectors (BLACK, BROWN and RED) and the Deck accepts all 3 connectors (BLACK, BROWN and RED).
My 91 Jetta GTX has an AKTIV system with a Heidleberg head unit. I didn't pay much attention when I disassembled the dash face when I fixed the odometer and I noticed that the Heidleberg deck has availibility for 3 connectors but I can only find 2 (BLACK and RED) behind the dash. The deck works fine but I want to change the deck with my Panasonic CD deck and I want to make sure I'm not missing anything. Do 91-92 GTIs/Jetta's with Heidleberg head units come with all 3 (BLACK, BROWN and RED) connectors? HELP ME!
