Ok, I know this isn't turbo related in any way whatsoever, but it's 16V
CONTENT!!! hehehe

My car has the following symptoms:

-Car stalls at high rpm (was 6k 2 weeks ago, and it is 4.5k now) as if
it wasn't getting enough fuel.
-I can acclererate mildly and let the revs go up (at 5k for example) and
the car runs fine. But as soon as I mash the throttle, it bucks, burps
and won't go forward
-Briefly, the symptoms only happen when the engine needs a lot of gas

My guess is that the problem is the main fuel pump (it's been buzzing
pretty ackwardely recently). But could it simply be a clogged fuel
filter or defective transfer pump? I've heard the transfer pumps
(in-tank) don't do much tough...

Any advice? How much am I looking at here for a fuel pump? I guess it's
not the same for the 2.0 16v, the 1.8 16v and the 1.8 8v right??
Oh, and the car is a 1992 16v (2.0) motronic

Thanks,

Olivier
