Hi all
Just bought a digital camera and thought that I would share some pics
of my car , a 92 Jetta 2.0 16v.
Im in South Africa , this model is a motronic / cis ( Bosch K-Jetronic)
, we don't get tested for emission's here.
I have had this car some 3 years plus and have fixed / replaced almost
all of the common problems and then some, 99.9 percent of the work has
been done by myself , alone ! I don't call this a car , but rather an
obsession. 6 months ago I pulled the engine and gearbox and stripped /
overhauled EVERYTHING , the motor is stock with a 50 mm intake and 6
kilogram flywheel , If had to do it again I would stop at 7.5 kilograms
(originally it was +- 9.5 kilograms) Some other stuff Ive done:
front/back springs shocks , brakes , stereo system , cam belt , water
pump , pulled and replaced head gasket 4 times , did heater core - 6
hours start to finish , replaced headlights , radiator. well over the
last 3 + years I can say I have learned a hell of a lot about 16v VW's ,
oh my neibour has a 89 1.8 16v Jetta
