Renard,
Actually there is a way to connect to the OEM
vacuum pump on the VW's to actuate the power door
locks remotely. It involves cutting the trigger leads
and (I believe) sending a positive pulse to go one way
and a ground to go the other. I would have to check
my notes to see how exactly I did this in years past
when I owned a stereo/alarm shop if anyone is
interested. My 87 GTI doesn't have the factory locks
so I did what you did; added a solenoid in the drivers
door. I had to cut some metal up high by the plunger
to gain access.
To suppress your chirp eithe the alarm has the
programming to do this or you need to put a time delay
in the lead going to the siren trigger lead. My Ungo
is programmable to bypass the chirp.
   Have fun!

Subject: Keyless entry is possible w/VW power locks

  I Got It!!!

Just finished up wiring up the keyless entry
function of the alarm on
my
GLi. Ahhh, the simple pleasures in life!! Works like
a champ.

Lesson learned-- DO NOT attempt to patch into the
wiring for the
power
lock system directly from the alarm. I tried this and
fried my vacuum
pump.
An electric actuator at the driver's door lock is
definitely the only
way to
go :-).

Now, my only issue is I some how disabled the
arm/disarm chirp
function
;-).

Anyway...if anyone needs any help w/doing this in
the future, I'm
more
than willing to pass long my experiences.

        Later...

        Renard
