Mark whats up with your email address? Can't get through.... --- Mark Reda <[email protected]> wrote: > What about if the car gets hotwired and they disable > the alarm through the > "valet" switch? > How about a coded "valet" switch?
I left the valet switch off of my car altogether. Theres no point of having a switch under the dash, when with most alarms you can valet the alarm with just the remote (to do mine, you open a door, click button 1 once, then button 2, then button 1. Then the red LED will be steady, and its in valet mode). Getting out of valet mode is the same way as well. > Exactly how do you tap into the door pins? > Will it work for a 4 door Jetta? Yep, it will work for a 4dr no problem. There are two wires running to that door pin, one is a ground I think, the other side is switched. Check the Bentley tho. To tap in, just use a phillips screwdriver to pull the switch out, and the two wires are right there. Denis __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
