Check your rear wheel bearings. When mines started to go bad it would
squeak occasionally and annoy me and as it got worse the squeaking would
become more full-time.

Ob-A2_16V: I have this blasted "squeak" which I'm trying to track
down. Sounds like metal-on-metal and like it's coming from the back
of my GLI. Also sounds, more than likely, like it's suspension
related (just because of when it occurs). Any likely candidates that
others have encounted causing the same problem?
