Integra would be a good choice > reliability-wise, but on the other end it will never be as > much fun as the golf....as for the t-bird I never drove one so I don't > know.. > As nice as VWs are I don't really thing that its fair to just write off the other choices, out of the box the mx6/probe are faster and can be made to handle just as good as anything VWOA makes, the VW products have the advantage of being extremely light which makes them fun to throw around, it doesnt make them any more fun than any other car modified correctly though...the tbird was the only one i dont like as its piggishly heavy and not all that fun other than its massive hp potential, the mx3 with a probe motor swapped in can run 14.2s with minor bolt ons and handles real nice as the motor weighs hardly anything more than the stock one...I'm not trying to start a flame war but its a legitimate question and i dont think its right to walk around thinking everything VW makes is somehow massively superior to anything else on the road, they do have certain qualities that endear them to VW owners, but that doesnt mean there arent other fun to drive cars available...hell my 323 GTX makes my 87 16v look like a joke, its nearly as light, 4wd and has nearly 200 hp and has most of the same tossability characteristics and no solid rear axle but im not gonna say dont buy a vw buy a turbo mazda because both have qualities that make them fun... -Mike
