And when you do test drive a 1.8 and a 2.0, make sure
you do the a/c test as well and see which one feels like
it's pulling a jetski...

I've owned 2 of each:  2 8v cars, 2 1.8 16v cars
and 2 2.0 16v cars.  I'll spare you of the obvious as far
as which I think is the "best" motor...

Son - my current 1.8 16v is a Miata... :-)

No the 2.0l does not rev as easily.  Before you do this swap, you should try
to drive a couple of 2 liter's first as you may not like it.  I would recc.
going to a punched out 1.8l (a 1.9l) which will give you more power plus a
nicer rev.  If I was going to do my engine again, that is the route I would
take.
