i read a tech article on these about 5 years ago when they came out; the
article did a simultaneous comparo of g-tech while running the car at LACR
or Palmdale or some similar track;

the gtech was consistently 2-3 10ths higher than the traps, because the
gtech measures from the instant acceleration starts, whereas the drag clock
starts when you're not blocking the lights anymore. if you shallow-stage and
give yourself a lot of rollout, that can mean a fairly large difference by
"cheating" the lights...
