Does anyone have a friend or know someone in the car alarm bidnez?? I
have a Sidewinder 5000 alarm in my GLi. I recently hooked up the remote
keyless entry, which I'm happy with. What I'm not so happy w/is the
automatic locking feature when the car is started. It's extra wear on the
locking system that is unnecessary. It states in the manual for the alarm
that this feature can be turned off, but doesn't state how.
I tracked down a local alarm shop that deals Sidwinders and they refused
to tell me how to do it over the phone. They said it was too complicated
and I had to bring the car to them. I have a feeling they want to charge me
for some simple programming thing w/the alarm remote that I can do myself.
Does anyone have a resource they could possibly tap (or introduce me to)
to find out the programming sequence to do this for this alarm?? Any help
would be greatly appreciated.
