Matt,

Don't expect all the mods below to add value to the car. It's only worth what 
someone is going to pay for it. Quite frankly, if I were to go out and buy a 
'91 Gli tomorrow, I would want it as unmodded as possible. It's tough to get 
back, financially, what you've put into a car in terms of parts, labor, and 
sweat. 

I do all modifications to my cars, thinking long term ownership, despite if 
it sells next week. You'll regret it when you sell your Gli anyhow, just ask 
us. But by all means, get that TT exhuast and the springs in that Gli :)
