Hey guys,
Today I was on the way to autozone to pick up some mullet grease and
bondo for the Z28 (j/k) when I spotted a crazy GTI. At first it looked
normal, but when I got up close it had squared off gloss black (on a black
car) fender flares. It also had an extension under the rear bumper and it
looked like an airdam extension belonged out front, but was gone. Another
peculiarity was that it had a carbon fiber panel between the taillights. It
was about an 87 GTI and it said Kamei X1 on the back, with little X1 badges
where the wolfsburg badges would be. The body kit looked pretty old, and
the car was sitting in an auto electronics place waiting to be fixed. It
also still had tape on the windows left from a for sale sign. So does
anybody know anything about this body kit or ever seen one before? I just
thought it was cool because I never saw an A2 with small bumpers and a body
kit. I can probably get pics if anybody is interested. Later all...
