thats nice , Ive three GTi's 96 8v, 97 VR6, and my current 89 16v, let me
tell you , my VR6 would have put your civic to bed. I ran the 1/4 w/ GIAC
chip , and bald goodyear my first time out and beat my friend ali's 97 HB
with cams type r exhaust , and b16a , in an MK3 , hondas blow man , anything
you say wont change my mind they are trendy cars that women should drive to
work. if youve got a fast one good for you, cool. My 97 would smoke a wide
array of modded v8's heavily modded acuras and Mistabitchies....blahh blah
blah , an a2 VR6 would would be even with you stock ..
GTi. Cause everyone and they're mom's and grandmas got BEETLES.

I heve to tell you....I sold my 1992 16v about a month and a half ago.
It was magnificent: Fast, good looking, handled like a beauty.
Everything except reliable. My dub was so demanding i.e (time x money).
So when I saw winter coming up, I choked, sold it.
Then I had to buy another car. A light, quick and (preferably)
seriously fast car.
-Rabbit with a 16v..hmm..a bit old and it definitely won't solve the
reliability issues
-a2-vr6...hmmm...seriously fast, but still this motor wasn't meant to
go in an a2 engine bay and bottom-line is: it is a modified car and
modified cars do need more attention.
-Civic...hmm...dull
-1992 civic si hatchback with 170hp on tap from a 1.6l
engine...hmmm...light nimble hatch with a lot of power that will even
take care of the monstruous (stock) a2-vr6.
Not bad. That's the car I currently drive Gabriel. It looks like a
plain civic h/b. except that you'll have to drop a lot of cash into
your 16v to be as fast as the hybrid civic I built.
At the end, I think Ricers are stupid and that they can also drive a3-
a4 (and god forbid a-twos). I own a Honda some of my buddies do as well
and some of my buddies drive vr6 and some others still have their 16v
(thus why I'm still here...) and I do not consider myself stupid
because of that. I love 16v and I will buy another one in the future +
I absolutely love this list and its spirit. Just don't say anything
stupid about ALL Honda owners as if they were all rice motivated.
Thanks,
Olivier
170hp 8000rpm redline. You beat the shit out of it at the track for a
whole weekend and bring it back home on a 1000mi drive and you don't
ask yourself one time if it'll let you down. Now ...you wish you had
all that!!!
PS. For people who are only good with numbers:
1/4mi 14.4@ 96mph
modified---> zero
break-downs since new motor in-----> 0
break-down planned----> 0
cars who make me feel like I'm not fast enough----> few
