yep the wheel well liners are all the same.

That's what I thought but if you look under the car, you can see that VW has
pre-cut the wheel wells for an air duct.  I guess it's possible that the
wheel well is the same part number for all 16v and therefore is the reason
it's pre-cut.

The big bumpered cars never came with brake ducts.  To
my knowledge a factory part for them doesn't exist...
