The euro GTI filter mount is $$$. I have the thermostatic sandwich plate (you should buy one with a thermostat in it, that way the oil isn't too cold in the winter) and oil cooler core from a Volvo 740 Turbo for sale.
Bolts right onto the VW filter mount.
