What a lot of people don't take into account when picking speakers is the
noise that they need to act on top of when you're moving. I've heard plenty
of car stereos that sound great in the parking lot, but once you're going 30
mph they sound like ass. I'd give it a shot with the speakers plugged into
an inverter and a portable cd player.. just get on the freeway and see what
they sound like. My bet would be that the overall sound quality would
suffer once you got up to speed.

Now, if you got the klipsch 6.1 THX certified speakers... HMMMMMMMMMMMM....

Subject: [a2-16v-list] Speaker Idea

Hey Guys,
I'm sure that you've all noticed that quality of computer speakers has
really improved and is comparable to some high quality speakers.

You just can't beat the quality of sound and the price. Why spend $100 for
2 speakers?
I have my eye on the Logitech's Z-540 4.1 speakers, for under $100 CDN

My idea is to adapt 4.1 PC Speakers to mount in my MK2 Jetta.
I know it would be some work to get everything to work right.

Any opinions on my idea?

Mark Reda.
