I'm going to be replacing the clutch and changing the tranny on my cousin's 86 Golf tomorrow. I'm pretty sure you can use a hydrolic jack to support the engine. That's what I'll be doing.

Hi all, Now that I've moved out my gl 8v its time to replace the clutch in my 89gti 16v. Any ideas on how to support the engine( I do not have an engine stand) I know the Bentley calls for some kind of support devive..what I want to know is if there is any way of getting around that. Maybe with another floor jack from underneath? Or is this not possible? Thanks Mike 89gti 16v 92camaro _______________________________________________ a2-16v-list mailing list [email protected] http://mail.a2-16v.com/mailman/listinfo/a2-16v-list For list archives, see listinfo link above.
