I have both for A2s. The cd is pretty much the same. I like the ability to print out pages and take them out to the shop and just throw them out in the end. I do know that the newer A4 ones the cd has much much more as far as content goes. It was almost double for the cd for my 01 golf 1.8t than the paper I got.
