you can always try sprayn some brake cleaner down the switch, then turn the 
key off and on over and over  to clean it, brake cleaner evaporates fast. just 
spray small amounts at a time while you turn it, should be ok, id keep a big 
wet towel there incase anything sparks though , which shouldnt only 12v
