Guess you can not keep the stock 16v fuel system, you need fuel system with
MAP sensor for turbo application, AFAIK the turbo people typically use some
aftermarket fuelsystem.
And try to give some reasons why you need 16v for turbo. Get some junked 8v
and launch the turbo project, I guess the advantage of turboed 16V vs
turbode 8V is not worth the hassle. Save for stuff like intercooler, you
will need huge one if you want to feel the advantages of poitive manifold
pressure...

But having a friend running shop is definite advantage.

Subject: [a2-16v-list] going turbo

Hello boys n girls.
I was thinking in making the 16v turbo. I have some questions that im
still looking for answers

1. How much boost will the stock fuel system hold without any
damage?
2. Will stock 8v 8.5:1 VW Pistons Work for going turbo?
3. Any tips?

I am aware fabrication and labour are expensive but i´ve got that
covered because a good friend of mine owns a shop and its like our
project.

All inputs appreciated.

francesco.
