I have one that I will give you (you pay shipping) if you want. The only
thing is that it is not a direct bolt up. I took it off of a 1.8l 16V at a
junk yard and planned on doing a complete swap but the bolt holes don't line
up. It is missing the AC bracket (the U shaped bracket that adjusts the AC)
because I like the easy adjustment of the 1.8l so used it on my 2.0l, but
you can easily take that off of your old one.

Again, it's yours for the cost of shipping if you can figure out how to get
it to fit.

Funny you asked, I tried to sell my 1.8 16v bracket months ago when I
found that my 2.0l bracket was ok. Now that one of the mounting bolts
broke guess it is time to get the 1.8 piece out of storage :) I picked
one up off vwvortex for about $30 shipped last year in case you want to
search on there.

Not sure about your question of a direct swap. I haven't started on the
broken bolt removal and bracket install.
