[a2-16v-list] Bad Caliper??

I just replaced, in less than 10K miles the right rear pads. I thought I
had messed up adjusting the hand brake, so I loosened it till it no
longer does anything. Now after driving 1 mile the wheel is warm to the
touch. Other than replacing the caliper (If I do that, should I replace
both? $$$$) What options do I have?
