my 2cents, the cars age, before you know it your sinking alot of cash keeping
high mileage vws running, so they give in to mk3s mk4s, i have a mk3 vr6 now
but stay on the list :)
Finally got a chance to sit down and write email- it's been a busy couple
weeks. I agree- the list has been really slow. A few years ago, it was
pretty hopping (and there were raffles!). Maybe it is the changing
demographics of A2 drivers, or the fact that there are not a lot of good
condition 16vs out there. I paid a little more than market cost for my
current 16v, but that was because it was totally pristine, and had been
garaged for a few years up in VT (not driven that much). People tend to
move on, I think, and trade in their 16vs for Audis or newer VWs when they
get older. I'm 29 now, and every so often I do think about trading in the
GLI, but then I drive something else, and realize how much I still love the
car.
