I picked up a battery that fit the group 41 size (Group 42 and Group 48 also fit our cars, and are in some cases, a bit lighter).
I need to replace a front wheel bearing. Naturally, I'd like to replace it while the bearing housing is on the car (so I don't need an alignment). I am not going to purchase the $300 Schley removal tool, nor the $80 Harbor Freight tool. What I am looking for is a place that rents them. I thought Rapid Parts used to rent tools, but there is nothing on their site about rentals. Any thoughts? Who rents the Schley Wheel Bearing removal tool? I'd spring $80 for the Harbor tool, but I have read that it is not 100% compatible with our cars (does not include exactly the right size push disc for the bearing). Thoughts/comments appreciated. Thanks, Denis G. 'lets keep this list alive'
