Gang, FYI-
A few years back ('99 or so), VW decided it didn't want/need to keep a
lot (most?) of the A2 parts, particularly the cosmetic stuff (basically
anything not having to do with keeping cars on the road). They
supposedly sent it all to the crusher. I've tried to get things like
the rain drip tray that covers the wiper motor and ECU, the rubber seal
that secures the tray, the luggage compartment cover, etc., with no
success. I tried multiple dealers, Potter, and various other sources.
The only hope we may have is finding a European source, or getting
lucky and finding a dealer that still has what you need in stock. Any
of you guys that don't live in a big metropolitan area should check
with any dealers that are in small towns, and guys like Mark Reda in
Canada should check with dealers up there.
If anyone has any luck, please do post your findings to the list...
