Try to unplug the blue temp sensor, next try to unplug the WOT and idle switches on the throttle body to see if the problem subsides. Hey guys, My bud just picked up a sweet looking 91 8V Jetta. The problem is this thing is running very rich, it's blowing out black smoke and won't rev well above 3500rpms. We just got back from a drive to the coffee shop and on the way there the car woudn't rev above 3500rpm. On the way back 15min later it was bogging and hesitating Since I don't know the digifont system that well I was hoping that someone would have the answer.
