Got a set of 11" zimmerman rotors and some fresh mintex pads for my
gti yesterday, and ran into some issues installing them.

I am running the 15" one-piece Jetta GLI BBS wheels, which are
supposed to barely clear the 11" brakes if 10.1" pads are used. But,
I found out the hard way that they don't (I have always run either a
used pad or a used rotor in the past, so I never really had a chance
to test the theory).

So short of grinding away calipers (I actually have an extra set that
I could probably experiment on), I am considering purchasing a set of
wheel spacers. I assume 8mm will be sufficient. Of course, we all
know what happens when you assume.

My question is...would it be best to install 8mm spacers on the back
as well? If I am increasing the track in the front my 8mm (or 16mm in
total), would it best to also install them on the back? I am not sure
it will make that much difference, but figured I'd ask the list in
advance.

Thanks for any feedback.
